Nusrat Jahan College

Nusrat Jahan College was established in September, 2011 The college takes pride in having students from a wide range of backgrounds. Located in the heart of Rabwah, The Nusrat Jahan College is a comprehensive institution with excellent cultural and sporting facilities. The institute is committed to contribute to a better future in Pakistan by raising an excellent generation of students who possess great promise. The institution actively strives to inculcate moral values in young students and to prepare them for future life. It has 82 teachers and 830 students.

NJC has three schools

1. Abdus Salam School of Sciences

This School is named after late Nobel Laureate of Pakistan. Currently this school offers Bachelors degree program affiliated with the Punjab University and this school has following departments;

Department of Applied sciences
This department currently offers Bachelors degree programs in Physics & Mathematics.
Department of Earth Sciences
Department of Life Sciences
Department of Chemistry

2. MM Ahmad School of Business

Mirza Muzafar Ahmad was famous economist. He served in number of senior positions in Pakistan, including secretary commerce and secretary finance.  After retirement from government service, he joined the World Bank initially as Executive Director for Pakistan and the Middle East and was elected for the deputy executive secretary of the joint ministerial committee of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund,  better known as the Development Committee. He retired from that position in 1984.

The department currently offers 4 Year B.B.A. Hons. program

3. Sir Zafarullah Khan School of Social Sciences and Languages.

Sir Zafarullah Khan was one the famous politician, diplomat and prominent scholar. He represented Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council. In 1954, he became a Judge at the International Court of Justice at Hague, a position he held until 1961. He was the Vice President of the International Court of Justice from 1958 to 1961. Between 1961 and 1964, he was Pakistan’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations. From 1962 to 1964, he was also the president of the UN General Assembly.

The Department currently offers two years Bachelors degree program with various combination of subjects.
Department of Language & Literature
The Department currently offers two years Bachelors and Master’s degree program with various combinations of English and Urdu Literature and other Asian languages.
Department of Archaeology
The Department currently offers different research programs.
